On our way to Barcelona we took the opportunity to stop off for the night in Monte Carlo. It was kind of fun to walk the walk of the rich and famous if only for a moment. I could not believe the wealth in this town. The grandeur of the shops, the yachts, the cars and casino were out of this world. I could not even fathom what life would be like to have wealth like that. Don’t get me wrong, a few extra bills in the bank would be nice but I’m rich with experiences and love, and to be honest, I’m happiest with that kind of wealth.

We stopped in a bakery for breakfast and fell in love with all the little artisan tarts. The trays was full when we walked in but before Matt could take a picture the guy in front of us bought most of them. I made Matt step in and take a picture before they were all gone. I didn’t dare ask how much they were.
A view of the city from the marina
Walking through the marina was probably one of my most favorite parts. I’ve never seen yachts so big in all my life. Some were beyond what I would call yachts and would be better classified as cruise ships!

The entrance to the Monte Carlo Casino. We couldn’t take pictures inside but it was beautiful!
It was like we walked right into a Bond movie!

Now off to “habla español” in España!
